Join Paula Cummings, LPC at Hawthorne Healing Center for her INTRODUCTION To MINDFULNESS Class.
This is for anyone who has been curious and looking to begin to explore this topic, as well as anyone looking to go deeper in their own daily life pratices.
4-Class Series:
- Week 1: (MAR. 14) INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS: What is Mindfulness? What are the benefits? How do I practice?
- Week 2: (MAR. 21) BEING FULLY HUMAN: Working with Emotions & Practice of Mindfulness of Emotions.
- Week 3: (MAR. 28) THE WISE HEART: Guided Practice, Talk on "The Wise Heart" & how to bring these practices into your life.
- Week 4: (APRIL 4) BRINGING YOUR PRACTICE INTO THE WORLD: Review of Practices, Practical Tips for establishing a practice; Bringing awareness to your choices so they are in alignment with your values.
EVENT DETAILS:
- TOTAL COST: $125 (RSVP first, then a separate Invoice will be sent to your email for registration.)
- Classes will meet weekly for 1 hour (MONDAYS 6-7PM). They will include a teaching, a practice session, and a Q & A. It is recommended that you attend all four sessions. All classes will be held in the FIRE Studio with various options of seating for your comfort (chairs, couch, meditation cushions/blankets, back-jacks).
- Class Series is limited to 10 Participants. Covid-19 Release Forms are required prior to entry. Please contact Paula directly for any questions or concerns reguarding safety. There are no refunds.

Teaching this class feels like a natural step for me. I have developed a trust in the qualities of awareness and compassion that are the fruit of Mindfulness Meditation over the course of my life, thus far. I have explored the life of the soul through the study and practice of the teachings of Jesus, through Silva Mind Control, Yoga, and the teachings on meditation and Buddhist philosophy through Thick Nhat Hahn, Matthew Frum (Tenzen), Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. I believe that what I have learned, and what I want to share in this course, is something that can make a difference, a small contribution to helping each of us awaken to the goodness inside. I believe, as Mother Theresa said, “There are no great acts, only small acts done with great love.” I also believe that small acts done with love are contagious; the very thing that make the world a better place.
